Zac Efron has revealed that he would love to appear in a West End show.
The High School Musical star, who shot to fame with singing roles, said that he is looking for a part that will help him “break” into the theatre world.
Bang Showbiz quotes him as saying: “I would love to if I could find the right opportunity. I think it’s a matter of time to be honest but I don’t know, I just want to make a break, so it’s harder to be very specific.”
Efron added that he gave co-star Christian McKay advice on the set of new film Me and Orson Welles, saying: “He had like small questions here and there. But he is a quick student that guy, in a matter of weeks he had completely transformed.”

ZAC Efron says he accepted his role in new film Me and Orson Wells because he wanted to try something “fresh”. The actor who shot to fame playing clean-cut Troy Bolton in Disney’s popular High School Musical movie franchise admits he was looking for something a bit “riskier” when took the part.
“I was looking for that opportunity, something fresh,” Zac said, insisting he wasn’t concerned his large, mostly teen fan base, wouldn’t have heard of Orson Welles.
