One of the three remaining X Factor contestants will reportedly be voted off the show on Saturday night.

According to The Sun, Joe McElderry, Olly Murs and Stacey Solomon have been told that only two of them will make it to Sunday’s final episode.

The singers will perform Christmas songs as a duet with their chosen mega star in Saturday’s instalment before the person with the fewest public votes is eliminated. The two surviving acts will apparently then continue to battle it out the following night.

A source said: “This shocked the finalists.”

McElderry is currently the bookies’ favourite to win the series after impressing the judges with his performances in recent weeks.
