SULKING X Factor boss Simon Cowell has warned he could quit Britain and end the show once and for all if viewers don’t boot out John And Edward.
The fed-up show supremo threatened to catch the first flight out and stay away from the UK for six months.
And Simon, 50, believes it will be such a disaster if the twins win that he is prepared to pull the plug on the show and see the end of The X Factor.
He hopes fans see sense in tomorrow’s vote and kick out the duo, who this week are singing Queen’s We Will Rock You.
Simon said: “I’m just praying it’s not John And Edward. It is impossible to predict who will win X Factor but I know who I don’t want to win it.
“According to reports, there is a chance that they will. If they win it will be a complete and utter disaster.”
But he added that if they are successful this weekend and over the next few weeks he will take off.
He said: “I’d probably sulk for about six months, and I’d probably get on a very fast plane out of the country.”
Simon reckons that if the 18-year-old twins, dubbed Jedward, do triumph, then their mentor Louis Walsh is in trouble.
He said there is no way they will be chart stars because they are tuneless.
The record chief added: “The fact is, it’s a singing competition and they can’t sing.
“I don’t dislike them as people. I just don’t think they’re the act we were looking for.”
Last night Louis, 57, laughed: “If Simon says he’ll quit the country when John and Edward win, I’ll happily pay for his plane ticket. One way, of course.”
Simon Cowell’s prayers could be answered – terrible twins John and Edward have been SILENCED by raging sore throats.
The X Factor twins have reportedly been ordered to rest ahead of tonight’s performance due to throat concerns.
John and Edward Grimes visited a Harley Street clinic after falling unwell earlier this week, reports The Mirror.
An insider said: “The boys have been struck down by the curse of X Factor. There are lots of sniffles around at the moment and coupled with the pressure their voices are under, it’s no surprise they have got sore throats.
