Leona Lewis has reportedly slammed The X Factor for not placing enough emphasis on vocal skills.
The ‘Bleeding Love’ singer, who won the programme in 2006, has claimed that contestants can now get by showcasing their personalities alone.

The 24-year-old told the News of the World: “It’s more of an entertainment show. It’s a TV show and they want their entertainment value. It’s not just about singing really well anymore.”


Lewis also admitted that she is impressed by how lavish stage productions have become since her appearance on the talent contest.
“When I was on the show in 2006, it was only about the singing. We were lucky if we got some good lights. I can’t believe how much it has changed.”
