X Factor boss Simon Cowell had to step in personally to bring sanity back to his contestants’ “out of control” house, reports The news of The World.
Psychologists and experts were called into action as the young stars’ house went into meltdown with some inmates said to be at breaking point.

The north London house has descended into chaos with the finalists allowed to run riot.
John and Edward Grimes were caught giggling over internet porn as they waited for a singing lesson.
Worried boss Simon Cowell stepped in, as previous experiences were not to be repeated.
An inside source on the show revealed: “Simon knows he has a duty of care to these youngsters and is determined to stamp the problems out NOW.”
To head off disaster the 50-year-old pop guru personally ordered a shake-up next year, dividing the sexes into TWO separate houses.
Maybe a live-in ‘matron’ to keep order would be the answer?.
Producers have already warned the youngsters of their no-romance rule after it emerged Stacey Solomon and Olly Murrs getting more than close. Constant internet rumours have surfaced about problems between occupants in the house. Bisexual teacher Danyl Johnson, 27, was accused of bullying .
With stress levels in the house now said to be at boiling point under the pressure of live finals, producers are determined to be tough and warned: “No more incidents, rows or flings!”
The porn incident involving Jedward – who last night stole the show with a blockbuster production of Queen hit Under Pressure – was considered a teenage lark but still fuelled concern.
A top source deep inside X Factor last night confirmed: “Simon’s learnt so many lessons from what happened with Susan Boyle and is being more proactive this time. This has become the biggest show on TV with enormous pressures on the contestants and they’re just kids who have never experienced anything like this before in their lives.
“That’s why every resource is available to help them, including support workers and counsellors. Simon knows the house must have strict rules in order for the show to continue.
Producers had hoped that as one of the older members of the house, and a teacher, Danyl would defuse any problems. But our source revealed he has actually been a disruptive influence away from the cameras. “With his background you’d think he would have as acted as a calming influence,” said the insider. “But he has CAUSED problems in the house and increased tensions. The viewers never see any of this.”
“The pressures mount as the week progresses because one of them WILL be voted out – and minor rows get blown out of proportion.”
