Could this be the last year that we see Four Judges?, would the format work better with either three?, or maybe one more additional judge just for the X Factor live finals?.
Cowell responded after the judges Cheryl Cole, Dannii Minogue, Louis Walsh and him were blasted by the live callers after the live vote was taken for a third week in a row to the public Deadlock vote.
He then failed to rule out taking the dramatic action.
He admitted it was a ‘very, very good point’ after one caller asked him if he would sack one of the judges next year to ensure a deciding vote was made each week on the Sunday show.

Ex Finalist Jamie Archer has asked the public to get behind The X Factor charity single to support Great Ormond Street Children’s Hospital.
Jamie told Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield on This Morning that he wants viewers of the show to buy their recording of `You Are Not Alone’ to help support the worthy cause.
He said: “I just want everybody out their to go and buy this single because it is such a big deal.
“It is such a great cause. We went to Great Ormond Street and we met the kids.”
“They are so beautiful.”
Archer confessed that he had been “touched” by plight of the sick children during his visit to the hospital and said that he was full of admiration for the work conducted by the doctors and nurses.
Jamie left the stage last night saying “It’s not the end, it’s the beginning,”
“I just want to make a record and get out there and play,” he added.
