XFactor bosses have axed one of the final 24 acts after discovering they had broken the rules of the show. Sources have claimed that a member of the girl group Tru Colourz had lied about her age.
ITV viewers watched the girls celebrate winning a place in the judges’ house stage of the competition on Sunday night’s X Factor.
But sources told the Daily Star that one of the girls is only 15 years old and is too young to enter the TV talent show.
Viewers will see Louis Walsh break the bad news to the group on next week’s show.
An insider said: “The discrepancy came to light as we were doing paperwork for the acts going through.
“It was clear that one of Tru Colourz had claimed to be 16, but was actually still 15.
“It was just a little white lie because she was so desperate to get on the show, but it has cost them.
“Naturally, they were devastated when Louis asked them about it, but they took it on the chin and admitted straight away what they’d done.
“Louis told them to come back next year.”
It is believed that X Factor bosses will allow rejected band Harmony Hood to replace the disqualified girl band in the group category.

I don’t know how they thought they’d get away with lying about their age. Do feel sorry for them though, they’re so young. Nadine did the same in the irish version of pop idol and look at her now
