Surrey Police were looking into the claims of the alleged attack come just hours after Ms Price let slip the name of her alleged attacker to a camera crew.
The crew working on the model’s television show were last night sworn to secrecy after Ms Price – also known as Jordan – named the star who raped her while filming ITV2’s Celebs What Katie Did Next.
Lawyers immediately banned any name from being broadcast after Ms Price identified the celebrity on set. The entire production team is now under strict orders not to divulge any information, even to loved ones.
It comes as speculation mounts over the man’s identity after Price, also known as Jordan, called the Channel Five panel show The Wright Show to vow she would never name him.
The call immediately raised fears that the alleged attackers name would be let slip live on air, as had happened previously.
A source close to Price said: “A handful of people know who it is but they are absolutely not allowed to even tell their loved ones. They’re petrified they could get caught up in it like Matthew Wright was over Ulrika and John Leslie.”
The allegations originally surfaced in Ms Price’s column in OK! magazine in response to criticism of a brutal simulated rape scene filmed by her boyfriend, the cage fighter Alex Reid, 34, for his new movie.
A Surrey police spokeswoman said: “No report of a rape has been made to Surrey Police. Officers from Surrey Police have not yet spoken to her. However, officers will be following lines of enquiry into this offence.”
Price lives in Woldingham, just inside the M25.
If the case were to proceed, it would be dealt with by the Met’s Sapphire sex assault unit as it allegedly occurred in London. Scotland Yard said they have not received any complaints either.

Model Katie Price will not be making a statement to Surrey Police over claims she was raped by an unnamed celebrity, the force has said.
It also denied reports that officers had visited Ms Price, 31, to speak to her about the allegation.
But a spokesman said she was seen on Thursday about reports in the media of bogus police officers contacting her.
