Simon Cowell’s publicist has reportedly claimed that the music mogul is starting to regret his decision to vote against Lucie Jones on The X Factor.
Max Clifford said that Cowell now believes he should have booted off twins John & Edward following Sunday’s show , the Daily Record reports.
Clifford is quoted as saying: “He is thinking he maybe got it wrong and misjudged it.”

The PR man continued: “He’s got to clarify his thoughts and feelings on the show on Saturday. There are a lot of people out there angry and upset. He knows that. He needs to address it. A lot of people out there need to know why he did what he did and need to be satisfied by his explanation.”
Cowell’s decision took the judges’ verdict to deadlock in the latest results episode, causing producers to revert to the earlier viewer poll, which saw Jones pick up the fewest votes.

Today in an interview with the GMG Radio network for its Help For Heroes day Cowell again turned on the pair.
“They are deluded in such a funny way that they’re genuinely not aware how bad they are. They just live in the twins’ world.
“They think they’re pop stars and everything’s fantastic and they obviously hear something different to the rest of the world,” Cowell told presenter Chris Tarrant.
Simon went on to say he struggled to think of “constructive” comments after the twins performed each week.
“I sit there thinking ‘I’ve got to get over my personal feelings; I’ve got to find something positive or constructive to say at the end of this performance’. And each week they get progressively worse and that’s when I get frustrated.”
But he supported the public’s decision to keep the pair in the competition.
“If you allow – which I think is right – the public to determine who wins, you’ve got to go with it. You don’t have to agree with it but you have to go with it.”
