Robbie Williams has insisted he was not high during his recent performance on The X Factor.
Because of Robbie’s history of drug problems, this sparked fears among fans when he appeared wide-eyed as he sang comeback single Bodies.
However, in an interview with the Daily Mirror, Williams said all he had consumed before the performance was coffee.
“People are alluding to the fact that I may have been high on something but I can only say I wasn’t – because I wasn’t,” he said.

“Unless someone spiked my drink and I would have noticed. I know what various drugs feel like.”
The former Take That star revealed that he had always felt nervous when performing but admitted he was no longer able to “mask it”.
“I didn’t feel like the seasoned pro I am. It felt a bit alien. I maybe should’ve done a few other shows before the big one,” the singer said.
Williams is due to play his first full gig in more than three years at the Camden Roundhouse in London on Tuesday.
Robbie was beaten to the top of the singles chart by the winner of last year’s X Factor competition. Bad Boys by Alexandra Burke went straight to no 1, ahead of Bodies . Last week’s no 1 single, Oopsy Daisy by Chipmunk, the north London rapper, slipped to no 3, the Official UK Charts Company said. Michael Buble had the third new entry in the top 10 with Haven’t Met You Yet.
