One look at these pictures of Ricky Martin’s adorable twins boys and you can understand why the Latin star says “being a father feels amazing”.

To celebrate their first birthday, Ricky posted the images of his gorgeous  family enjoying a day at the beach on his Twitter page.

The babies, called Valentino and Matteo, were born through a surrogate mother last August.

Since then Ricky has fully embraced his role as a single father, taking a career break and insisting on caring for them himself with help from his mother.

But as he told HELLO! shortly after their birth: “I am in charge of everything. I am the one who wakes up at night”.

These days the heart-throb lives quietly in Miami, returning often to his native Puerto Rico, where his extended clan of 34 cousins and 12 uncles also act as willing babysitters.

Far from missing the bright lights of showbiz, the new dad seems to be more content than ever.

“I’m so happy. Everything they do, from smiling to crying, feels like a blessing,” he’s said. “This has been the most spiritual moment in my life”. celebs
