FANS at a Peter Andre album signing sent an angry message to his ex-wife Kate Price by trashing the venue with washing-up liquid.
Fury erupted at the Asda store in Barnsley after more than 1,000 teenage girls turned up to get their idol’s autograph on their CDs, according to
reports told to The Daily Star.
The Andre fans used squirty bottles and dashed to shelves lined with Kate’s books, perfumes and calendars, covering them with soapy goo.
Shocked staff rushed to halt the vengeance mission by stripping the shelves. But other products were also damaged and trampled on the floor.
An insider said: “I guess the girls wanted to make a point. There was washing-up liquid everywhere.
“Pete didn’t mind about Jordan’s stuff being on sale – but his fans clearly did.’’
Andre, 36, who signed copies of his new album Revelation, would only say: “These crowds are unbelievable.”
Told of the attack, Kate, 31, told a pal: “I can’t believe how much people loathe me. Every little thing I do is misunderstood.”>celebs
ASDA last night bowed to pressure from cancer sufferers by dropping Jordan from a breast cancer awareness campaign.
Katie Price – had appeared in lingerie photos to mark the 12th anniversary of the store’s Tickled Pink campaign.
But she angered cancer victims this week after moaning on reality show What Katie Did Next about scars on her breasts caused by implants.
Asda last night reported that they would not be using the model for any publicity shots. But the store said it will still sell her underwear range.
Last night Asda spokeswoman Leah Watson posted a news release on a forum hosted by Breast Cancer Care saying: “Hi everyone.
“Nobody was happy with what Katie said on the show, especially us. I know you feel like we don’t listen, but we do. We were extremely grateful for her contribution to both breast cancer charities – it’s a lot of money that clearly helps.
“The last thing we want to do is upset anyone and so in light of the conversations we have all had over the past couple of days we won’t be using Katie in any publicity shots. The lingerie range will still be in store so that there is still have the chance to raise money.
