The Celebs reality TV star was knocked to the ground while at a cage-fighting night with her lover Alex Reid in West London, says The Sun.
Reid was reportedly punched in the face after a “gipsy hardman” wanted to brawl with him outside the Extreme Brawl event.
The newspaper claimed that the incident was started by a rowdy group of gipsy bare-knuckle fighters.
However, one of the gipsy boxers claimed that Reid’s “arrogant” behaviour had led to the incident.
He said: “[Reid] wound me up. He’s an arrogant w***** who was walking around like he owned the place.
“We had a problem with him and were going to sort it out but he chickened out. He deserves to get his head kicked in.”
A source close to Kate, said that Reid did not fight back when provoked.

But a movie insider said last night the muscleman wants to carry on, despite the stomach-churning new scene.
The source added: “This set-piece was on the cards from day one. Alex knew about it. It was scripted from the beginning and is one of the most violent pieces in the film, which takes some doing. Quite how Julie’s character is going to be raped and murdered is going to be sorted on the day and depends how far she wants to go.”
Mothers Against Murder and Aggression has called for the movie to be banned. Co-founder Dee Edwards said: “This is a disgusting film aimed at making money out of degrading women.”
Anti-violence group Zero Tolerance added: “The message is that women are sexual objects to be treated like dirt.”
