Actress Jodie Foster is reportedly single again after splitting up with the woman she left her long-term partner for.

Foster was in a relationship with Cydney Bernard, her partner of 14 years, but left her last year for writer-producer Cindy Mort, who she met while filming The Brave One in 2006.

The surprise split made headlines around the world.

According to the National Enquirer, Mort has now returned to her old girlfriend, club promoter Amanda Demme.

“Ironically, now it’s Jodie who has been jilted,” a source told the celebs tabloid. “She’s miserable.”

Foster is notorious for fiercely guarding her personal life, reportedly even refusing to hire household staff or carry a mobile phone.

She is thought to have referred to Bernard publicly just once during their relationship,. paying tribute to her “beautiful Cydney” at a Hollywood awards breakfast in December 2007.
