JOHN and Edward were under 24-hour guard last night after serious threats on the internet, Reports The Star.
A twisted X Factor fan threatened Twins, urging a million people to join his Facebook hate group.
A TV source said: “We cannot be too careful.”
The Facebook page, set up anonymously, is called: “If 1million people join this group, I will **** John and Edward.”
Within hours, hundreds had signed up to vent their fury over the pair.
Last night Facebook took down the offending site.
An X Factor spokesman said: “We wouldn’t dignify this with a comment.”
GORDON Brown has waded into the Jedward saga saying The X Factor twins are “not very good”.
The Prime Minister said he didn’t rate John and Edward Grimes, days after his Tory rival David Cameron declared the pair kept him glued to his seat.
He has previously admitted being a fan of the show.
Questioned by an audience of young people in Manchester, Mr Brown told radio station Key 103: “I don’t think they’re very good.”
He added: “There are some really good people on X Factor. It’s really good. And I know it’s competing with Strictly Come Dancing”.
The question came from teenage actress Brooke Vincent, who plays Sophie Webster in Coronation Street, who was in the audience.

Cheryl Cole’s XFactor performance of her solo debut, Fight For This Love, is said to have cost around £65,000; Whitney Houston’s comeback song Million Dollar Bill slightly less, at £60,000; while Robbie Williams is thought to have paid about £30,000.
A member of the X Factor team said: “The performers have to pay their own production costs and it can be a small fortune.
“The money is spent on hiring dancers, costumes, lighting, lasers and any other special effects they require.”
The source added: “But the labels are more than happy to cover the costs as it means their acts are getting exposure to audiences in their millions.
“It’s a ratings juggernaut and the record companies know that and don’t mind paying for it.”
