Former housemate Sree was rushed to hospital last week after slashing his wrists, according to reports.

Paramedics were called to the contestant’s flat in the early hours of Friday, according to The Sun.

Sree allegedly became upset while watching an episode of Big Brother, a source told the newspaper. He was discharged from hospital after receiving treatment for cuts and lacerations.

There was no suggestion of a suicide bid, and Sree was well enough to appear on Big Brother’s Big Mouth that night.

Channel 4 arranged for Sree to be cared for by a psychologist over the weekend. A spokesman said: “Housemates’ welfare is of paramount importance. There is a well-established and extensive after-care system in place for all housemates.
