Dannii Minogue reportedly broke down in tears during filming at this year’s XFactor boot camp in London.

According to the Daily Star, Simon Cowell halted filming for the Dannii after she became emotional about the departure of one of her favourite contestants.

She was apparently “inconsolable” about the fact that a certain male singer had been axed from the competition.

“Dannii felt a real bond with this singer and was heartbroken to be the one to deliver the news,” said a source. “She really cares about the people on the show and letting them go is the worst part of her job.

“She started crying and so did the poor lad. It all got so much that the cameras were switched off to give them both time to compose themselves.”

The X Factor continues this Saturday at 8pm on ITV1.
