But this raunchy footage of teen temptress Rosie Webster stripping on the cobbles will be screened on the ITV website.

Viewers watching ITV1 on television from 8.30pm tonight will see an edited version which merely shows Rosie strolling down the street and stops as she begins to undress.

It will feature a full-length shot of the 19-year-old in high heels, stockings and suspenders and basque.

A show insider said: ‘In the online film she throws off her coat to reveal a sexy basque, stockings and suspenders to try to entice factory boss Luke Strong away from Michelle Connor.

‘When she sees the couple canoodling on the balcony outside his flat she hurls insults at them before throwing off her coat to reveal her sexy outfit.’

Miss Flanagan said of her character: ‘Rosie is outrageous and such a madam and I love playing her. I get to do things that I would never dare do.’

The storyline will open ITV to fresh accusations it is resorting to the salacious to boost ratings.

Earlier this year the show featured the Rosie Webster character dressed in knickers and a white basque that could barely contain her cleavage, as she tried to seduce a man twice her age.

The episode was shown well before the 9pm watershed and prompted concerns from lobby group Mediawatch UK about sexual scenes in soaps.

Flanagan was just 17 when scriptwriters cast her as a Lolita-style seductress having an affair with her tutor.
