Glamour model Nicola T is on Celebrity Big Brother to clear her debts, say tabloid reports.

According to The Mirror, the Page 3 star owes £35,000 in credit card bills and will use her show fee to pay them off.

The model, real name Nicola Tappenden, is currently engaged to Plymouth Argyle footballer Simon Walton. Her cash has apparently been spent on taxis, furniture, a deposit on a BMW and her two miniature dogs.

Before going on the Channel 4 show, Tappenden allegedly told a friend: “I’m almost skint. I’ve just been treating my cards like they are cash but not realising I am not earning what I once did. It must look like I have money as I live in a nice house but that’s all Simon.

“I want to clear my debts and that is the reason I am going in. I want to start married life with Simon as an equal.”
